Child menu query

Hi,
Lets say that I have the menu

colors
>red
>green
>blue
animals
>dog
>cat
>horse

…in my primary menu in WP in that visual order.
When I navigate to cat I want just just the following in my left sidebar nav:
>dog
>cat
>horse
(in that visual order).
I know I can assign pages to parents when creating pages in WP and getting that to work is fine.
I want however to derive the child links from the primary menu view itself.
There is a widget that will give me the entire menu but I just want the child links from the menu itself.
Can that be done without having to to assign a page to a parent each time?
I want the visual menu appearance structure to determine what children the parent has in the sidebar.

Stop sticking at end of post

Hey man. Neat plugin for sure. Got one issue I can’t seem to figure out. Is there a way to stop the stickiness at a certain place. I’d love for the info I have that is sticky to stop at the end of the post content. That way it’s not on top of the comments section/etc.

Order invoices sometimes don’t display product variations

My products have two variations that users *must* select in order to be able to add the product to their cart (size and color).

In most cases, users are able to choose variations, purchase the products, and I’m sent the exact variations they requested.

Occasionally, however, I’ll receive orders that don’t have any variations listed on the invoice, so I’m unsure what size or color the customer ordered. Why aren’t product variations being listed on all of my order invoices?

We have a widget on our start page for those interested in our newsletter. For a few days, fake addresses try to subscribe. The automatic confirmation does not work because the mails are undeliverable. If we delete these facsimile addresses, they will come back in a few hours. – We have now deleted the widget on the start page. Nevertheless, the fake addresses succeed again to register. Can we block these fake addresses?

Hello. I have a CPT named “events” and I’m using ACF to create a date field.

I have “yymmdd” as the save format and “MM d, yy” as the display format. I want the events to be listed in ascending order by date, which I have set up properly.

The problem is that EA isn’t using the display format. Am I doing something wrong? Can you please recommend a fix?

And while I’m at it, is there a way to have EA not show events that have already passed?

add captcha and VALIDATION ajax form

Hello,
this plugin is awesome.
the last weeks where not so great, there are several spam entries in the signature list.
i would like to add recaptcha [ OR any othe similar functionality ] to the sumbit form. had problems with validation on ajax.php.
i insertet de google recaptcha frame, but i have problems with validation. for now the user can submit entry even if captcha is ignored [ unchecked ]
any ideas how to pass the post info for validation or ony othe methos of doing it.

Menu color and slider questions

Dear Roman,

I saw that you solved some menu coloring issue previously (asked by readwriteandedit) that helped me also, but I still can not change the color of the upper part of my menu (which is now black and I would like to change it into white or transparent): http://forestforlife.hu/

Also: in my slider the Slide subtitle is as long as on mobile it can not be seen the whole text. Can I somehow lengthen the visible part of the slider in the mobile version?

I am getting the following error messages.

User Comments Stealing Usernames

I recently had a comment posted to my site from a reader who said they were a friend of mine, but the name and email address showing for the comment were attributed to someone else that I know. IP address (and both individuals) confirm that indeed this comment is showing an incorrect name and email address.

My host has cleared the endurance page cache, which would hopefully prevent this from happening again, but is there any way to correct the info so I can approve the comment?

Site Cannot Be Accessed

I posted this originally on the wordpress.com forum not understanding the difference between the .com and .org. Now that I have that figured out I think I know what started my problem but am not sure how to fix it. I originally signed up with wordpress.com and have a login with them. Then I obtained my own domain via GoDaddy and linked it to my .com account and deleted any other sites/blogs associated with it. My main issue is I am unable to link my site to my social media accounts via jetpack sharing. The jetpack support said it is a connectivity issue on the host end.

I have no issue logging into my site at http://www.travelingchef85.com/wp-admin. However, when logged into http://www.wordpress.com my site is flagged with a red circle that when clicked gives the following error message “Site Cannot Be Accessed”. I have a premium jetpack subscription and when I try to connect my social media accounts via the sharing feature I get this error message “500 status code for “POST /sites/144067542/publicize-connections/new”. My site domain is with GoDaddy. Please advise how I can resolve this issue.

New Post or Page “Submit for Review” only

I recently moved my site to a new server and delete a few million posts from database. Everything seems to work fine but when I try to create a new page or post, the only option I get is to “Submit for Review” and even when I push that it get access denied. I can edit any post or page just fine. Here i what I’ve tried.

1. created new admin, cleared cache, logged in a new admin, same results.
2. disabled all plugins
3. Rename plugins directory.

The only thing that worked was emptying the posts and posts_meta tables. When I did this I could create new page or post just fine. I assume it has to do something with having like 7million for the autoincrement for posts_meta table? After culling down the table I really only have 10k now but I can’t find a way to reindex the table or something.

New Customer Order Emails Suddenly NOT Sending

Hello+

I am suddenly having trouble with the “New Customer Order” Emails sent by WooCommerce going to the appropriate “to” email address. This site has been up for years and these emails were previously sending as expected. Then over the past 2 months we have noticed that they are no longer working as they used to be… We have the same hosting; same email plan; same email address; same products on website from when these emails were sending to now (when they are not sending). I have added a second email address to the “to” section and that secondary email IS receiving the “New Customer Order” emails as expected but the original (primary) email is NOT getting them. Was something changed in a recent update to WooCommerce that would affect these emails? Please advise…
